Summer Kids Sewing Camp — 4-Week Workshop Program

For ages: 7 years -15 years 

time: 11:00am-2:00pm

Dates: JULY 4th - July 25th (every saturday)

Difficulty: Beginner Friendly NO experience required!

Give your child a skill they'll carry for life! Our 4-week Summer Kids Sewing Camp is the perfect introduction to the world of sewing and garment construction for young creators. Classes meet every Saturday from 11:00am – 2:00pm in the heart of Seattle's University District.

What Will they Learn?

Over four hands-on sessions, students will go from total beginner to confidently constructing their own clothing — leaving with real projects they made themselves.

Week 1 — Introduction to Sewing Students will get familiar with all the tools of the trade! We'll cover sewing supplies, materials, and how to properly operate both a home sewing machine and an industrial serger. Safety is our priority, so every student will learn best practices for working with equipment before touching a single project.

Week 2 — Tote Bag Construction Time to sew! Students will learn how to read and cut a pattern, then construct a fully finished tote bag completely from scratch using a provided pattern piece. A great first project that builds real confidence.

Week 3 — Hoodie Construction We're leveling up! Students will learn how to construct their own hoodie from scratch using an industrial serger, picking up new techniques along the way. This is where things get exciting.

Week 4 — Sweatpants & The Full Look The grand finale! Students will sew a pair of sweatpants to match their hoodie, combining home sewing machine and serger techniques together on one project for the very first time. They'll walk away with a complete matching set — and the skills to keep creating long after camp ends.

After completing this 4-week workshop, students will leave confident in their new skills, proud of what they've built, and ready to take on any project that comes their way. Spots are limited — reserve your child's seat today!

How our Pricing Works 

Our sewing classes are designed to be accessible, inclusive, and community-driven. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, create, and develop new skills—no matter their financial situation. That’s why we offer a sliding scale pricing model with three tiers. You choose the option that best fits your needs.

Tier 1 – $399.99
Our most affordable option, created for those who need a lower-cost alternative. This tier ensures that cost is never a barrier to learning and creativity.

Tier 2 – $449.99
This reflects the true cost of the class, covering materials, instructor time, and basic expenses needed to run the workshop.

Tier 3 – $529.99
By choosing this tier, you help support our community space and make Tier 1 pricing possible for others. Your contribution helps keep classes accessible and our doors open to everyone.

Parent & Guardian Policy

The safety of every student is our highest priority. Please review the following requirements before enrolling your child in our Summer Kids Sewing Camp.

All students under the age of 18 must be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian for each class session. A parent or guardian is not required to stay for the duration of class, but must be reachable by phone at all times while their child is in session.

Prior to the first class, a parent or guardian must sign a Safety & Liability Waiver on behalf of their student. Waivers will be available to sign at drop-off during Week 1 or can be requested in advance. Students will not be permitted to participate without a completed waiver on file.

Please note that our program works with sharp tools and equipment, including fabric scissors, sewing machine needles, and industrial sergers. While safety instruction is built into every session and is always our number one priority, we want all families to feel fully informed before enrolling.

Cancellations/missed classes: 

Please ensure that Each participant will be able to attend each week of the workshops scheduled, If one day is missed it will not be able to be made up until the next session available.
