Simplified Corset Workshop

Make your own lace-up corset top in a single afternoon. This boning-free version keeps the structured, flattering shape of a classic corset while staying comfortable and easy to wear, and it’s a great step up if you’re ready for more than a tote bag or pillowcase.

In class you’ll fit and cut your pattern, build a fully lined three-panel bodice, add ribbon loops, and finish with a lace-up back. You’ll leave with a finished, wearable piece, plus the know-how to make another one at home.

Level: Confident beginner to intermediate. You should already know how to set up and sew on a machine.

Class size: Limited to 5 students, so you get plenty of one-on-one help.

Length: 4 hours

What to bring

• Fabric: About 1 yard for the outside and 1 yard for the lining.(2 yards total) Use any non-stretch woven, such as cotton, twill, denim, or linen. The lining can be the same fabric or something lighter. Upcycling is encouraged, and thrifted bedsheets, tablecloths, or old denim all work great.
• Ribbon: 3 yards of double-faced satin ribbon (3/8" is ideal, 1/2" max) or 2–3mm satin cord. Skip grosgrain, velvet, and wired ribbon.

extra fabric will be provided in class we recommend to bring your own so you can create something you will wear and love!:)

By choosing this tier, you help support our community space and make Tier 1 pricing possible for others. Your contribution helps keep classes accessible and our doors open to everyone.
